Staff & Faculty
Whitney is our preschool Director. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Whitney moved to Angola in 2018 to pursue her dreams of living the lake life. She has been married to her husband since 2020 and has two small children. Whitney and her husband are the proud owners of a local business that currently serves the Steuben County lakes. Whitney holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ball State University as well as an Associate degree in Business Administration Management. She is currently completing her master’s degree in Early Childhood Montessori Education at Trine University. As a former state social worker, she is passionate about children, especially their education. While outside of work, you can find Whitney spending time with her family and friends, taking trips, crafting, and enjoying the water.
Brittaney is our Lead Support Teacher and is also our Campus Consultant providing support for the campus in many areas. Along with her husband to whom she met in high school, Brittaney resides in Angola with her two children. Brittaney began her career in early childhood education over 10 years ago. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education with a focus on K-8 Mathematics. Brittaney is currently completing her credential in Infant and Toddler Montessori training. She is passionate about her career and the children she is able to educate. "I love watching children learn new things. I see the importance of starting their lives with a solid foundation of independence and self-worth." Outside of work, Brittaney loves spending time with her family and friends. Brittaney’s faith plays an important role in her contributions to The Vine.
Pam is our campus Support Staff. She resides in Angola with her husband of 22 years. She has four grown children and nine grandchildren. She assists with opening routines, food handling, and provides support to any teacher in need throughout the week. Pam is the definition of flexible! Pam has 25 years’ experience in early childhood education. Pam says she “loves the twinkle in children’s sweet, little eyes when they learn something new.” Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the water with her family and friends, bowling, attending ball games of her grandchildren and ballroom dancing.
Brittany is our Infant Lead Teacher. As an Angola native, “Britt” began her career in early childhood over 10 years ago. She is passionate about early childhood education and plans to continue her own education in the field. “I enjoy watching children grow into becoming their own person." Outside of work, Britt enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and outdoors.
Victoria is our Toddler Two Lead Teacher. “Torre” is a Michigan resident along with her 17 year-old daughter, and husband of almost 20 years. Before beginning her career in early childhood education, she had over 23 years professional work experience outside the field. Torre is currently pursuing her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for infants and toddlers and hopes to obtain her Montessori credential in the year to come. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting; reading; supporting her daughter in 4H; and spending time with family and friends. “Watching the excitement, they have when discovering new things,” Torre says is why she stays in early childhood education.
Demarie is our Infant Two Lead Teacher. “Demi” is a resident of Hamilton, Indiana with her husband and elementary aged daughter. She has worked in the field for the past six year. Demi holds her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for infants and toddlers. She enjoys spending time with her family and going to the lake, outside of work. Her favorite part of working in early childhood is watching the children grow!
Maddison is our Toddler One Lead Teacher. She is an Ohio native, turned Hoosier. “Maddi” is a resident of Butler with her husband. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child. Maddi has over 12 years’ experience in the field. She recently completed her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for infants and toddlers. “I love children’s innocence and purity, and how they go about life and are always so positive.” She enjoys gaining knowledge on cosmetics and beauty and spending time with her two dogs outside of work.
Maria is our Lead Primary Teacher. She is an Angola native. Maria has two adult children and hopes to one day be a grandmother. Maria began her career in education in 2021 and is eager to be a lifelong Montessorian. “I love being able to teach children through a new approach to education.” Outside of work, Maria enjoys sewing and crafting and spending time with her family.
Pat is our Facility Care personnel. He has been a resident of Angola for 36 years with his wife. Pat has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoys working on engines and completing household projects.
